Spiritual Life at GCA

Cultivating a Servant’s Heart and a Kingdom Mindset

At Grace Christian Academy, faith is not a separate subject, it is the lens through which we view the world. We are dedicated to partnering with families to develop students who are not only academically proficient but are also "disciples ready to undertake the Great Commission." Our spiritual life program is built on four pillars: Biblical Instruction, Worship, Community, and Service.

Cultivating a Servant’s Heart and a Kingdom Mindset

Biblical Foundation (Academics)

From Kindergarten through 11th Grade, our students engage in a Christ-centered, Bible-based curriculum daily. We move from the foundational basics of scripture in Primary school to advanced interpretation and in-depth study in our Secondary program. Our goal is to prepare students for citizenship on earth and in heaven.
  • Key Focus: Biblical worldview, scriptural interpretation, and daily devotion.

Chapel- Worship

Chapel is the heartbeat of our school week, a required time for students to step away from the classroom and participate in corporate worship and personal reflection. These services provide an integral space for spiritual maturation and communal prayer.
  • Elementary Chapel: Thursdays at 8:45 a.m.
  • Middle School and High School Chapel: Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.
  • Parents are always welcome and encouraged to join us for these times of worship.

2

Spiritual Emphasis Week (Experience)

Every year, our Secondary students step outside the classroom for a dedicated spiritual emphasis trip (such as our annual retreat to The Wilds in Brevard, NC ). These trips are designed to be "uninhibited" times of personal development, allowing students to connect with God, nature, and their peers in a transformative environment.
  • Activities include: Youth Worship Team, outdoor recreation, and intensive spiritual teaching.

3

Missions & Servant Leadership (Service)

We believe that true faith results in a servant’s heart. Our intentional Missions Program is age-appropriate, gradually increasing in involvement as a student matures. By graduation, GCA students are equipped to lead through service in their families, workplaces, and the global community.
  • Goal:To equip graduates for the Great Commission and life-long servant leadership.

A Note to Our Parents

"At Crowders Ridge, seeing God’s hand in the nature around us just helped me get closer to God... I am thankful to the school for offering me this opportunity." — Eliana, 11th Grade

We view our role as an extension of the Christian home. While students are challenged to grow independently during events like Spiritual Emphasis Week, we value the partnership of our parents in daily Biblical instruction and weekly Chapel.
